Kashmir- The Valley of Fun and Adventure

A Kashmiri woman who lives in the same building as me once urged me to visit Kashmir over a cup of tea. She advised people to visit Kashmir because they needed to, rather than because innumerable brochures, websites, and periodicals advise it. I've only ever encountered such unadulterated beauty in Kashmir. The warm-hearted people' genuine warmth adds to the valley's appeal.

So what is there to see in Kashmir? These are the first four outstanding tourist destinations in Kashmir that you may select from: Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Srinagar. Pahalgam has several hotels and resorts that provide great value for the money, making it the perfect holiday destination for families. If your kids are older than eight, you may go skiing in Aru Valley or river rafting in Lidder River. When visiting Kashmir, you may also go on leisurely treks and go fishing.

Gulmarg has the power to mesmerise you even more! Gulmarg offers tourists the time of their life since it is surrounded by magnificent, snow-covered mountains. One of Gulmarg's greatest attractions is the cable car trip to and from Kongdoori and Aparwath Peak. On the summit, breathtaking vistas are possible to behold! Sonmarg is a unique family holiday destination, yet it still has a lot to offer.

At Sonmarg, you may go camping, pitch a tent while climbing to the Thajiwas Glacier, fish, and go for strolls by the lake. The fourth city on our list, Srinagar, is one of the best places in India to visit with family in the summer. Srinagar is not just the state capital, but it also generates the majority of its revenue from tourism.

You might spend time with your family in Srinagar by going on a shikara ride, staying on a houseboat, or going water skiing (if your children are at least 12 years old). For tourism, you may go to the Hazratbal Shrine, the Hari Parbat Fort, and the Mughal Gardens Chashma-e-Shahi, Shalimar Bagh, and Nishat Garden.

Ladakh- Family Holiday with a Twist

Ladakh is magnificent, outstanding, and amazing! Nothing like it has ever been seen before! a fantastic mountain retreat location. But, I would only advise bringing a family here if you feel like you can handle the erratic weather and have older kids. This location is equally beautiful and challenging. The best places in Ladakh for family vacations are in and around Leh.

First off, getting to Leh is easy thanks to direct flights from Delhi and Jammu. Second, since the temperature stays constant at 30 degrees Celsius, the summertime is very pleasant. You wish to see the Shanti Stupa close by, the 800-year-old Kali Temple on a mountain, and the Leh Palace from the 17th century.

The monasteries of Thiksey and Hemis are two of Leh's most popular tourist attractions. If your health permits and your kids have adjusted well to the altitude, you are welcome to leave Leh city and visit the picturesque Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri Lake, and Nubra Valley.

Manali- A Perfect Family Escape

Without a doubt, Manali is a really beautiful place. The hill town of Manali, which is one of the most visited tourist destinations in India, is located in the stunning Himachal Pradesh. I fell in love with Manali the moment I set foot in the city for the first time. Manali was in my thoughts for a very long time because of images of the snow-capped mountains, the sunset's red sky, and the picture-perfect Rohtang Pass.

Due to the gorgeous surroundings, Manali makes for the perfect honeymoon destination. Hadimba Temple, Solang Valley, Vashisht Village, Naggar, Rahala Waterfall, and Rohtang Pass are a few of Manali's most popular tourist destinations.

Shimla- The Urban Summer Destination

You should stay in Shimla for your Indian summer vacation. It draws families looking for a cosy, leisurely vacation in a beautiful location by offering a "home away from home" experience. Shimla is the destination I would choose if I were to take my family on holiday since the summers there are pleasant (not too hot or cold), there are many of places to eat (every cuisine is available), purchase things, and stay, and there is minimal traffic.

Just being in a calm environment helps you! Walk down Mall Road for a while, dining, shopping, and seeing the beautiful church on the Ridge adjacent to the Mall. Spend some time touring the Jakhu Temple, which is located on a hill and contains a large statue of Hanuman. The Kali Bari Temple, which is another attraction in Shimla and can be seen as one heads towards the Mall Road, is situated in the city's centre.

Don't forget to dress appropriately for a family photo! Even while it might seem silly at the time, it will ultimately make for an amazing story.

Dharamshala- Fun-filled and Awe-aspiring

For Dharamshala, the powerful Dhauladhar works his spell! Dharamshala, a serene valley with towering snow-capped mountains as its backdrop, dons the costume of beauty and welcomes tourists to discover the wonders of nature. When my companions decided to get tickets for a cricket match between the Delhi Dare Devils and Kings XI Punjab in the summer of 2011, I still clearly recall that day. Dharamshala started off as a movie scene.

I was frozen to the spot in the HPCA stadium! From where I was sitting, cricket players appeared to be ants scurrying across the grass, but that is all I can recall. It was just beautiful to see the towering conical mountains. I thoroughly liked my time in Dharamshala, a serene hill town that makes for the ideal vacation, especially with family. Visitor attractions in Dharamshala include the War Memorial, the Kunal Pathri Temple, the Kangra Art Museum in Kotwali Bazaar, and the tea gardens along the route to Kunal Pathri.

Darjeeling – The Jack of Holiday and the Queen of Summers

As the "Queen of the Hills," Darjeeling is certainly one of India's most popular summer tourist destinations. Nowadays, Darjeeling is a vibrant and, how would I put it, slightly congested city. Yet the attraction of this magnificent place is continuously growing. Making the climb to Tiger Hill Peak early in the morning will allow you to experience some of India's most beautiful sunrises. The ride on the toy train is a family pastime that could be fun for everyone.

The train's 70-kilometer stretch between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling is filled with sheer pleasure. Also nearby and interesting are the Rock Gardens and the waterfall. Riding the passenger cable car or ropeway between Darjeeling and Rangit is thrilling for tourists. Chowrasta or The Mall Road are two well-known names that come to mind right away. Like other hill stations in India, Darjeeling has a variety of ideal places for visitors to eat, stroll, and shop.

At Darjeeling, families are welcome to visit the monasteries of Ghoom, Dali, Tamang Ghumba, and Aloobari. The Himalayan Zoo, Dhirdham Temple, Botanical Garden, Scrubbery Park, Red Panda Breeding Farm, Japanese Peace Pagoda, Batasia Loop, and War Memorial are a some of the additional attractions in Darjeeling.
