Mussoorie – Queen of the Hills



Mussoorie is a stunning hill town located on a horseshoe crest of the Garhwal Mountains in the Uttarakhand province of Dehradun. One must visit it on every trip to Uttarakhand because it is one of the nicest hill towns in all of India. The idyllic environment, dense deodar and cedar forests, lovely temples, magnificent waterfalls, and commanding views of the Himalayan Himalayas and the neighbouring Doon Valley are all features of this pristine hill town. The Yamunotri and Gangotri are commonly described to as having their entrances at Mussoorie. Visit Kempty Falls

The hub of Mussoorie, Mall Road, is where all the action takes place. The Mall road links the two significant bazaars of Kulri and Library. The British residents constructed the benches and lampposts that line the sides of the streets. The main attractions in the area include the Methodist Church, ice skating rinks, and arcades offering retro video games from the 1980s. There are also boutiques offering wooden antiquities, a tourist information centre, and aisles of Tibetan trinkets. Shopping on Mall Road is one of the top things to do in Mussoorie. Also, a large number of tourists have congregated here to gorge on the reasonably priced local delicacies including momos, dim sum, thukpas, and noodle soups.


Learn History at Soham Heritage & Art Center



The Soham Heritage and Art Centre, which displays the culture and legacy of the Himalayas via paintings on canvas, sculptures, frescoes, murals, and scrap art, is one of the best places in Mussoorie to learn about the history and culture of the Himalayan regions. The goal of this art center, which was founded in 2013, is to employ a variety of art genres to present the diversity and wisdom of the Himalayas in one place. The art gallery also has a collection of jewelry, furniture, antiques, and Himalayan animals on show. Offer Prayers at the Jwala Devi Temple



At a height of 2100 meters on the peak of the Benog Tibba, close to Mussorie, stands the ancient Durga shrine Jwala Devi Temple. The goddess' stone idol is visible in the inner sanctuary. Each year, tens of thousands of devotees visit this temple to seek Lady Durga's blessings. The shrine draws visitors who like the outdoors in addition to believers since it is surrounded by imposing hills, lush flora, and little streams. A less well-known Mussoorie attraction is an unspoiled natural hideaway. This little creek, which is tucked between two enormous stones, has a constant flow. You may wade through the creek, which has the waterfall at one end.


Camel’s Back Road


Camel's Back Road is yet another well-known tourist location in Mussoorie, and it is a wonderful place to visit if you are the type of traveler who enjoys ambling around the outdoors while soaking in the sights and basking in a relaxed environment. Lake Mist
