Andhra Pradesh

Located on the southern coast of India lies Andhra Pradesh, one of the country's 29 states. Andhra Pradesh's enthralling capital, Hyderabad, provides many reasons to plan a visit. The Old Quarter of Andhra is home to numerous biryani restaurants, tea shops, little pathways, colourful markets, and palaces and monuments from bygone ages. Beyond the city, several forts and tombs reveal a great deal about the once-rightful royalty that once inhabited this area. While all of this is happening, the freshly constructed neighbourhoods across the street are hopping with trendy restaurants, bars, boutiques, and hotels frequented by young people drawn by technology. Perhaps there are more tourists in this area of the state.

The stunning mediaeval sculptures of Palampet, the charming coastal town of Vishakhapatnam, hidden Buddhist sites like Guntupalli and Sankaran, and the uplifting energy emanating from the large pilgrimage crowd at the temple are just a few of the more obvious attractions in the two states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which were one before their split in 2014).
